Run Your Own Webinar With 4 Tools
Yesterday, we covered the 3 biggest reasons you should be holding your own online webinars. If you missed it, you can catch the issue right here…
Today, we’re back to detail the 4 simple tools anyone can start using today to create marketing webinars.
You do not need any fancy equipment or expertise to get started. But there are some things that will make your life easier.
Let’s jump right in!
#1 - The Right Hardware
You don’t need an expensive microphone or display equipment. Almost all laptops come with a webcam and built-in microphone these days.
Plus, after a year of “working from home” during the pandemic, people are more familiar with how to use these than ever before.
If you want to appear more professional, you can buy a higher quality microphone, but this is not a necessity.
#2 - A Hosting Service
Again, after the Pandemic completely changed much of our lives, almost everyone has experience with Zoom or other video conferencing services.
We suggest using the one you’re most comfortable with.
Just make sure you know how to operate the webinar feature so you look like an expert (all platforms will have quick tutorials).
You want to look like an expert during your webinar - make sure you’re not fumbling around with the meeting controls at this point!
#3 - PowerPoint (or Something Similar)
This is a presentation. So you want to use a presentation tool.
If the audience is just looking at you speaking the whole time, they may get bored. Use slides to display data, show off your product, or simply just break up the visuals of the webinar.
Microsoft PowerPoint is the most popular software for displaying slides.
You’ll also want to look into using stock images to make your slides pop!
#4 - Great Copy
This is hands-down the most important tool you’ll need in your webinar.
If you want people to show up and stick around for your entire webinar, you need to write great copy. This includes the sales copy that gets them to sign up, the script content and the pitch for any direct response you may have at the end of the webinar.
Fortunately, you can follow our simple five-step copywriting system to write your first webinar script:
Introduction
Story
Content
Transition
Pitch
We've used this system hundreds of times here at Lurn on our webinars, and anyone can follow it.
