Are You Giving Off These 3 Red Flags?

You’ve got your freelancing/consulting/agency business up and running and you’re pumped. But you just can’t seem to get a good volume of clients no matter what you try…

Don’t panic, this is more common than you think.

frequently , freelancers and consultants are giving off 3 major red flags to their potential clients without even realizing it!

Today, we’re diving into the 3 biggest red flags we see all the time. Make sure you’re not doing any of these!

#1 - Your Pricing Is Too LOW

One of the most significant red flags that you may be presenting to new clients is pricing that is too low.

While it may be tempting to set low prices in an effort to attract new clients, doing so can send the wrong message. If your prices are that much lower than your competition, potential clients might question the quality of your work and wonder if you are cutting corners to save costs.

Make sure you see what others in your niche are charging. You can still charge less, but don’t go overboard!

#2 - A Lack Of Reviews & Examples

Another significant red flag that you may be presenting to new clients is a lack of reviews or a portfolio without proven results.

People almost never buy ANYTHING without seeing reviews anymore. That extends to freelancers and consultants.

Make sure to ask satisfied clients for reviews. If you’re just starting out, make sure you showcase your best work in your portfolio that displays your skills and expertise.

#3 - Poor Communication

Finally, a third red flag that you may be presenting to new clients is not being a good communicator when they reach out to you.

If a potential client contacts you with questions or requests for more information and you don't respond promptly or provide clear and concise answers, it can be a red flag that you are difficult to work with or unprofessional.

Always prioritize communication with potential clients.

Respond to emails and messages as quickly as possible and provide clear and concise answers to any questions they may have. You can also consider setting up an automated email response or using a project management tool to help you stay organized and on top of client communications.
