3 Email Marketing Tips To Implement ASAP
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – email marketing is a tried and true digital marketing channel.
As other marketing trends come and go, email marketing remains a steady source of traffic and conversions.
Online marketers know the power of email marketing to deliver results at lower costs than most other channels.
Still, so many email campaigns could be better optimized. Today, we’re bringing you 3 tips to implement ASAP!
#1 – Personalize
Successful marketers always look for ways to personalize the experiences of their users.
While personalizing website content can be a complex and daunting task, personalizing email content is pretty easy.
There's NO reason not to be personalizing your emails to at least some degree.
You can either go as simple or as in-depth as you want…
A simple personalization would be including the user's name in the email subject line.
An in-depth personalization would be customizing content, offers, and distribution times for specific user groups.
#2 – Include Video Content
Showcasing video content in your emails is shown to increase user interest and engagement.
Videos help your emails perform better, and email can help your video content reach a wider audience – it's a win-win.
Note: we prefer to put images of the videos in our emails, and have people click through to the video on a separate page - or on YouTube. You don’t want to embed the actual video in your email - that will impact deliverability.
This strategy can also boost your click through rate!
#3 – Focus on Cart Abandoners
Decrease your lost sales or leads by targeting cart abandoners with strategically deployed emails.
Abandoned cart emails will help put your business and products back at the top of the user's mind.
Some ways to help win back customers who might otherwise never have returned are reiterating product benefits and/or offering an incentive to complete the sale.
Some of these incentives include:
Free shipping
Free samples
A complimentary consultation
A discounted or free trial of your service
