New Ad Options Come To Meta Reels

Meta first launched ads on its Reels for Facebook and Instagram last year. And this week, they’ve announced some major updates.

It’s no surprise Meta is emphasizing ads on Reels. According to the company, users on both Facebook and Instagram now spend over half their time on the apps watching videos. Most shocking of all, videos are shared an insane 2 BILLION times per day across the platforms…

So yeah, you could say Reels have a captive audience.

The first update they’re making is an expansion of how many ads will be featured on Reels.

Secondly, ads can now promote OTHER apps in their content. This was previously not allowed on the platforms’ ads.

Third is an update to the type of music content you can use on your ads. This is being done to help you make your image ads more entertaining and engaging.

And it wouldn’t be a story from 2023 without some AI updates. There are a slew of updates on how Meta plans to weave AI into their ad platforms.

Marketing Stat Of The Day

2 Billion

That’s how many videos are shared every single day on Facebook and Instagram combined, according to Meta.

Daily Tip - Boost Your “Perceived Value” Today

Consumers are more careful with their money than at any time in the last decade. Fortunately, there are some quick marketing tactics you can use to do just that.

Your product still needs to have inherent value, of course. You can’t just stick a $100 price tag on a banana and say it’s the world’s best banana.

But with these 3 quick strategies, you can dramatically improve your product or offer’s inherent value…

#1: Show a Discount - When sending traffic to your landing page, be sure that a product’s regular price is higher than the discount shown on your landing page. For example, showing a 20% discount off your “regular” price will dramatically increase the perceived value of your offer.

Everyone wants to feel like they’re getting a good deal.

#2: Create Trust - When consumers feel that a purchase is guaranteed, their confidence in you increases. So, include certain elements on your pages to instantly increase your product’s perceived value. This reduces a lot of the fear people have when buying something.

Two big ones are...

  1. Guarantee emblems and icons

  2. Money-back guarantee

#3: Provide Social Proof - In addition to researching prices online, people are also looking for reviews from other people who have purchased from you in the past. They don’t want to see negative feedback.

Instead, perceived value increases when consumers see 5-star reviews and ongoing purchase activity by other consumers.

So, your page should...

  1. Show customer reviews

  2. Show that others are buying this product now

Both of these make people feel safer when buying from you.

These 3 quick tips can all be implemented IMMEDIATELY. Give them a try and let us know if they make a difference for you!
