3 Quick Tips For Boosting Email Opens

Getting people to OPEN your emails is more difficult than ever. Take a look at your own inbox. We’re sure you have hundreds of unread emails just sitting there.

So how does a marketer make their emails not only stand out in the crowd - but enticing enough to open?

Here are 3 super quick tips you can use to immediately boost your email open rates…

#1 - Use Power Words

You can increase the impact of your subject lines by using more words that generate emotions, thoughts and even images.

We call these “power words.”

You could use words like “poor,” “information” and “concentrated,” but those won’t trigger emotions, thoughts or images. On the other hand, if you said “broke,” “encyclopedia” or “laser-focused,” you would make much more of an impact with the same meaning.

Look through your own subject lines and think about where you can insert these power words into every email!

#2 - Cut the Length

Sounds simple, but people always write subject lines that are WAY too long!

Remember that some of your subscribers are checking their email on their computers while most are checking on their phones. Some are on their web browser while others are on apps.

The bottom line is that if you want the maximum number of people to open your emails you need a subject line that gets the message across QUICKLY.

Here’s a suggestion: when you write an email, send a test to your mobile device and see if the core message of your subject line comes through.

#3 - Be MORE Specific

People are drawn like a magnet to specific numbers.

If you say “I’m going to reveal how to increase your leads using Facebook Ads,” that isn’t going to resonate very much.

If you say “I’m going to reveal how to double your leads using Facebook Ads,” that will stand out more than the example above.

But if you say “I’m going to reveal how to increase your leads by 200% using Facebook Ads,” that will stand out the most even though it’s basically the same message as the one above.

Any time you can include specific numbers in your subject lines, the more impact your subject lines will make. Just be sure you can back up those numbers!

Yes, those 3 tips are pretty simple, but they make a HUGE difference. Start implementing them ASAP and let us know how they work for you!
