Article after article has come out over the past year about all the new and exciting ways that AI is transforming medicine.

On Monday Google announced a new AI-powered search engine to help doctors and nurses quickly find medical information from different sources.

Currently, medical data in the United States is SCATTERED across multiple systems, making it hard for healthcare professionals to access it.

At the same time, many doctors are BURDENED with administrative work, with some spending more hours on paperwork than with patients!

Google promises that the tool respects privacy, does not access user data, and complies with health data protection laws like HIPAA.

Here’s the rundown for today…

How To Tailor Your Marketing To Your Audience’s Personality

One of the most important lessons in copywriting is to understand your audience. The better you understand your audience, the better your messaging will be.

To do this you should create a CUSTOMER AVATAR - a representation of your typical customer.

That starts with understanding the core personality of your average prospect. This article shows you how to use the “Big 5” Personalities to make a more effective avatar so that you can upgrade your marketing.

Let’s summarize the “Big 5” Personality Traits and then talk about 5 ways to use this to improve your marketing.

Openness to Experience: This trait is about how much someone likes new things and varied experiences. People with high openness are CURIOUS, like to try new things, and are open-minded, while those with low openness prefer what's FAMILIAR.

Conscientiousness: This is about how organized and reliable someone is. People high in this trait are dependable and like STRUCTURE, while those lower in conscientiousness are more SPONTANEOUS.

Extraversion: This is about how outgoing or reserved someone is. Extraverts are sociable and gain energy from others, while introverts prefer calm environments and tend to be more reserved.

Agreeableness: This measures how kind and considerate someone is. People with high agreeableness are compassionate and like HARMONY, while those with low agreeableness are more competitive and INDEPENDENT.

Neuroticism: This trait is about how often someone experiences negative emotions. People with high neuroticism feel things like ANXIETY more often, while those with low neuroticism are more emotionally stable.

Here are some ways to use your audience’s personality to improve your marketing…

  1. Start by deeply understanding the primary personality traits of your target audience. Representative focus groups are a great way to do that.

  2. Adjust your marketing messages to resonate with these specific traits, whether it's sparking curiosity or emphasizing reliability.

  3. Utilize diverse marketing campaigns to cater to different personality traits within your broader audience.

  4. Regularly test and analyze the effectiveness of your campaigns to identify which messages resonate best with different personality types.

  5. Continuously adapt based on feedback and data to ensure your marketing remains relevant and impactful to your audience's evolving personality preferences.

Daily Hack - 2 Quick Ways To Upgrade Your Facebook Ads

At Lurn, we’ve used Facebook ads to generate millions of dollars in revenue for over 8 years.

We’re not alone. Facebook, along with Google, is a VERY popular ad platform.

In order to get the most out of Facebook Ads, you need to understand HOW they work and how to tap into their most powerful features.

We want to talk about two of Facebook most powerful features today…

  1. Retargeting Ads

  2. Lookalike Audiences

We’ve used both of these to fuel our success on the platform.

#1 - Retargeting

Most of the time, a visitor to a site won’t take action the first time they visit. But that doesn’t mean they NEVER will. For most people, it’s more of a “not yet” than a straight-up “no.”

Retargeting allows you to turn those “not yet” into “yes please!”

Without retargeting, all of this money is left on the table!

Here’s an example of how it works....

A visitor goes to an opt-in page but doesn’t sign up. It’s likely they at least considered signing up though. In this case, the pixel would track them and Facebook would advertise to that person again, giving them another chance to opt-in.

Obviously, this makes it much more likely someone will opt-in. Now they’ve had two chances to do so!

Retargeting allows you to focus on people who took some kind of action — people who opted in, made a purchase, registered for a webinar, or any other action.

Ads can be shown to these people to keep them moving forward, like a digital breadcrumb trail.

#2 - Lookalike Audiences

What if you could target a new audience that was as similar as possible to your custom audience?

There is a good chance this audience would be responsive, right?

If the Facebook audience is large enough, it can act as a source audience. From it, Facebook can create a “Lookalike” audience.

Lookalikes are audiences created by Facebook based on people who are most likely to like a particular brand.

The amount of deviation from the source audience — 1%, 2%, or 3% — is totally up to you.

Here’s the best news. A custom audience needs only a few hundred people inside for Facebook to create a Lookalike audience.

And Facebook does all the work.

Make sure you're incorporating these 2 strategies into your paid ads ASAP!
