3 Tips For Increasing Perceived Value

Most entrepreneurs think price is the only thing people consider when buying something.

That simply isn’t true.

Instead, people buy based on their perceived value of what they’re buying. Basically, do they feel like they’re getting good value for their money?

Perceived value is what the customer THINKS an item is worth.

Now, you’re not going to get someone to buy an apple for $10 of course, but there are small tweaks you can make to DRAMATICALLY raise your products’ perceived value.

Today, we’ll show you 3 strategies we love…

#1: Show a Discount

When sending traffic to your landing page, be sure that a product’s regular price is higher than the discount shown on your landing page.

For example, showing a 30% discount off your “regular” price will dramatically increase the perceived value of your offer. Just make sure you price things so you’re still profitable.

Everyone wants to feel like they’re getting a good deal.

#2: Price Similar to Major Retailers

Guess what most people do before they buy something?

They look up the price of the item on websites like Amazon to see what they should be paying before they make their purchase.

So, when you price your products similarly to those on major retailers, consumers are more inclined to buy from you to avoid the hassle of logging into Amazon.

But if they can get a much better deal on Amazon, they’ll just go there instead.

#3: Create Trust

When consumers feel that a purchase is guaranteed, their confidence in you increases.

So, include certain elements on your store pages to instantly increase your product’s perceived value.

Two big ones are…

  1. Guarantee emblems and icons

  2. Money-back guarantee

This reduces a lot of the fear people have when buying something.

Tomorrow, we’ll be back with 2 MORE tips we love for increasing your product’s value. Stay tuned!
